I was so excited to have Good Friday off, I recommended we to go to nearby Lafayette Village and feed the ducks! I was convinced this would be a huge hit for Dagney, however the ducks had other thoughts. These overfed, lazy ducks would not move. In fact, I threw a couple wads of bread at a few of them, yet they hardly flinched. Dagney was not amused either.
On Sunday, Dagney got Play-Doh in her baskets from the Easter Bunny and the Crafts, so this morning we decided to try it out! She loves it and wouldn't even look up when I took the pictures - but I still got her to say "Cheeeeeeese!"
Paige and Dagney got the royalty treatment at Ohma's. Paige got a yellow duck and Dagney got a a white lamb. They both also had magic dresses but we did not get a good picture of them together.
Dagney could not believe her eyes coming down the steps today...
There were three baskets, but this was the main one with an Easter Duck, some organic fruit snacks and some MONSTER TRUCKS!
Paige got a new piano. She has such an ear for music some have speculated there may have been a mix up at the hospital (for those who know of Josh's musical prowess). That's right Paige, 'Keep on Rock'n in the Free World'.
We showed Dagney the first egg, pointed to the second and then she was off to the races. She caught on real quick.
Dagney collected all the eggs and than took them apart and put them back together all day. In fact, she took a pink egg into the bathtub tonight!
Tonight we decorated Easter Eggs with Janelle, Dave and Cole and it was a wonderful evening.
Here we are with our "Easter 09" egg.
Josh, Dagney, Dave and Cole overlook the 20+ Easter Eggs in dire need of color!
What is that? Is that the Easter Bunny making an early visit? Here is mom and her daughters. Paige was the only one who was impressed with Jenn's ability to produce this briliant orange egg! Paige was really getting into the egg thing, she had no problem claiming her own egg! Janelle and her boy Cole got a real kick out of this red Easter Egg they dyed together. Before the day was over, Cole was a real pro at turning his eggs. And I had to put this picture in the blog, I cherish these 'firsts', such as dyeing Paige's first Easter Egg with her.
