My new "baby" is home!

Here she is...my (okay technically "our") new 2004 Honda Odyssey equipped with remote sliding side doors and a very roomy interior that's perfect for a family and schlepping around all kinds of baby stuff. She's in great condition, has low miles and Josh wheeled and dealed until we got a fantastic price. I definitely already feel like a mom driving it, but can proudly admit I kind of like that....

25 Weeks and Counting!

After numerous requests for belly updates I had Josh take some shots of me this evening at 25 weeks, 6 Days! The months seem to fly by. We had quite a scare last week when I was involved in a car accident. I was stopped at a light and a young girl in a Jeep Liberty hit me from behind. After a trip to the hospital Josh and I were both relieved to hear Dagney's little heartbeat (though the nurse had a time trying to keep the fetal monitor on her as she was quite active!). We were notified on Tuesday that the car is being considered a total loss so Josh and I have been looking at used Honda Odysseys...our future plan was to get a minivan anyway...it's just happening a bit sooner than I had expected. I will miss the Maxima! After all this craziness I'm looking forward to relaxing a bit this weekend with a bag of Necco Sweetheart candies (my latest craving - yum). Oh, and in the picture I'm standing in our guest bedroom...Josh has some great plans for turning it into Dagney's nursery so stay tuned.

Dagney Maria Bunkers

Jenn and I attended our 4 and half month pregnancy ultrasound and Dagney Maria Bunkers wanted to give a wave to let everybody know she is A-O.K. in Jenn's tummy. The name Dagney (a variant of the Scandinavian name Dagny) belonged to my grandmother and means "new day". Dagney's middle name, Maria, belonged to Jenn's grandmother.

Opening Presents

We opened our Christmas presents early this year because tomorrow we will be driving to Georgia to see Tom, Donna, Zachary and Madison Ohaus for Christmas.

Jenn (a little under the weather) received a brand new DVD camcorder, an asortment of books and her much anticipated copy of Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Possibly one of the characters in the book will share a name with Baby Bunks (we'll find out for sure on January 3rd so stay tuned!).

Josh received Sirius radio, some much needed clothes and his much anticipated t-shirt officially proclaiming him 'the milkman'.

Baby Bunks made out well with a new baby book "Sheep in a Jeep", a Minnesota Viking outfit, some Winnie the Pooh blankets and a cute yellow duckling outfit from the Hitchcocks. Jack, pictured below, enjoyed the excitement and ribbons, but not necessarily the festive collar.

Merry Christmas

Jenn and I would like to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a warm welcome to the Bunkers' family blog. In the spirit of the Hitchcock and Malisch families, we look forward to 'keeping in touch'.

Last night Jenn and I attended the Organon Holiday party. Jenn is 18 weeks pregnant but we still had a wonderful time eating, socializing and dancing.

Hoping Santa is good to everyone!
