There's a First Time for Everything...
...and yesterday it was Dagney sleeping in Grandpa Dean's crib for morning nap-time. It definitely agreed with her because 3 hours later she woke up smiling and cooing. I'm just not ready for her to sleep in her room at night...but this is a good start.

Happy 70th Ohma!
...though she truly doesn't look it!! Yesterday we went to Fair Lawn to celebrate Ohma's birthday at a place called Davia's. It was Dagney's first experience in a restaurant and Josh held her the whole time as she snoozed through the festivities. As a matter of fact, between him, Ohma, my sister, sister-in-law Diana and Lauren, I didn't get to hold her once the whole day! It was a great day - we love you Ohma! Oh, and Dagney wants to know when you and Ohpa are coming over to spoil her next...

Dagney Updates Via Email
Should you wish to receive email notification of blog updates, you can use the new feature I've added on the right. Don't worry...no new content, no email for you.
Aunt Nancy Visits!
One of my best friends, Nancy, came for a visit this past weekend to meet Dagney. Unfortunately Nancy and her fiancee Doug live in upstate New York now, so we don't get to see them as much as we'd like. Josh and I are planning a trip up there when Dagney's a bit older so we can see their beautiful new home. We miss them!!

Dagney's First Shopping Trip
I decided that 2 months was long enough and it was time for her first trip to a store. Babies R Us was a natural choice as I'm sure they're used to screaming children and anxious mothers...plus they have a lounge where you can feed and change your baby. Well, Dagney did great - just a little fussiness at the end of the trip because she missed her afternoon nap. Much thanks to Janelle for taking these great shots and for soothing an upset baby in the back seat on the way home!
Where are we? What's going on??
I'm still not sure if I'm into this, mom.
How ever will I decide?
Oohh...there's more over there!
Cuz I'm so cute can I get more?
Okay I'm pooped. Shopping is hard work.

Yay I'm 2 Months Old!
Our happy little peanut went to the pediatrician today for her 2 month check-up which, unfortunately, included 3 shots. Poor baby was so upset and that's why I was so glad to see her smile like this when we got home! She's weighing in at 11 pounds 7 ounces and is 23" long. The pediatrician told us that this is slightly above average for her age! She's definitely starting to bloom!

One Hot Party!
Today was the first ever block party on our cul-de-sac - Dagney was dressed in the cutest little sundress, which was a gift from my godmother Susan. Well...it didn't stay on too long with 90+ degree weather. We had a great time eating and socializing with our neighbors...just wish I took more pictures! Josh grilled his awesome chicken on the Weber and played Bocci ball with the guys. I sat under the tent with a couple other moms and babies. It was a great day.
She's too cute!
Josh, Dagney and our neighbor Dave.
Dave's wife Janelle who is due with their first baby on August 6th. We can't wait to have another little one on the block.
Just a diaper and a nap! We made it until about 4 p.m. when mommy and baby decided to head indoors for some air conditioning...the fan under the tent just wasn't doing it for us!

Tummy Time!
Yesterday Ohma and I took Dagney for her 6 week visit at our new pediatrician's office. We love her new doctor who gave her a thorough check-up and suggested a new formula to help her sensitive tummy and (hopefully) some of the fussiness we're experiencing with her from 9 pm to midnight each evening ( I don't know what we'd do without the big blue ball during the "witching hours"). Our little fuss-pot is weighing in at 10 lbs, 9 ounces and is 22" long! She now loves to smile at us, which makes her daddy's heart just melt.
