End of Week One in NYC

So I finished week one with my two hour one way commute into NYC...successfully.

I got some wonderful welcome home kisses from Dagney, a stubborn Paige who wanted to stay up with Dadda and a nice cold frosty one.

Paige's Completed Room

Some time during our vacation month we received Paige's handmade dresser from Mayor/Grandpa Dean and Granny Mel. Finally, I could make the time to show of my daughter and her beautiful room. The dresser and crib were both handmade by Grandpa, match perfectly and are just beautiful!

Look Who is Close to Walking

I received this great picture of Paige this afternoon. Before I know it, she will be walking all around the cul-de-sac.

PS - This is the ever popular pink stroller Mel bought for Dagney during Thanksgiving which was a huge hit with all the children. I am sure Emmet is salivating at this picture.

New Cell Phones

Jenn and I got new Blackberry Storms on Saturday with data plans. Today we took some new pictures and emailed them to our email addresses to try out some of the new functionality, enjoy!

This morning Dagney is helping Mom make hot cakes, one of Dagney's favorite breakfasts. And if you don't know what Dagney is stirring with, well if you ask her she will be the first to tell you, "It's a Gung-Gung!"

Here Dagney and Cole went to the park with Dave and I. We decided to try out the tire swing for the first time. They loved it! In fact, Dagney was so excited she gave Cole multiple hugs and kisses.

Also noteworthy is that instead of fighting over the orange over-sized toddler swing, Dagney and Cole took turns and while one got out of it they would give the other a hug and wait for their next turn.

Cycling at the Campground

One of the more popular activities at Spash Magic Campground was the large variety of bikes available to rent all week. There were a variety of lay-down bikes for younger children that were very popular and some other sit-down bike that looked like little monster trucks. Brenda surprised us on the 4th by renting the large four person bike.

Paige and Dagney got to ride on the front and try out some cool helmets!
Dagney got a real charge out of riding up front and keeping an eye out for pot-holes.

IBM Cognos Cetifications

In March I obtained my IBM Cognos 8 BI Metadata Modeler certification and indicated my intention to obtain a few more, which I have done so. On May 15 I passed my certification as an IBM Cognos 8 Report Developer and on June 12 I passed my certification as an IBM Cognos 8 BI Specialist. These three certifications validate my credentials for a large portion of the IBM Cognos 8 BI Reporting Suite (jargon for an expensive piece of software big companies like to purchase), in which I specialize.

Foam Party

One of the activities at Splash Magic Campground was a foam party. Dagney was mesmerized by the foam and could have played in it all day.
