Dagney and I have been able to spend the past couple of days together napping and playing. Its definitely been therapeutic for me emotionally, but Dagney is tough to keep up with physically these days. I would say she's a "highly active" baby. Lately she enjoys standing up and pulling things off the couch, entertainment shelves or end tables and then squatting down to pick them back up. When standing and holding on to the couch she has bravely let go only to precariously balance for a second or two before hitting the floor on her bum. She has also started cruising a bit, but enjoys the squatting more for now. She's pretty vocal and there are many more sounds in her speech repertoire...she's especially good at imitating her daddy's different laughs. And while her commando crawl has always been impressive, she has been crawling on extended arms now. On the 29th we go for her 9 month check up, so we'll have an update on her weight and length.

Dagney is one very motorically-advanced baby!!! Wonder why....hmmm, would mommy be an O.T.? I'm so glad you've had a couple of days to spend with your little sweetie. Love ya! J
I wonder if baby #2 will try her best to keep up with Dagney or just lay back and watch?
